Official Declaration

On the first anniversary of the martyrdom of His Eminence Imam Rabbani Sayyid Fadhel Al-Marsoumi Al-Hussaini, founder of the Al-Daae Party, the party's General Secretariat renews its pledge to the blessed martyr to remain on the enlightened intellectual approach and the peaceful, good-loving, and dedicated path to peace that His Eminence outlined through his work among the people.

His Eminence, the founder Sayyid, was martyred while defending the freedom of our people and their right to live in peace and security. Based on that, we pledge to our fellow citizens, all free world people, and advocates of peace in the world that we will remain defenders of the values of democracy, freedom, and the principles of human rights. The most important of these is the right of our people to express their opinions, thoughts, and philosophies away from the influence of armed groups and the danger of uncontrolled weapons.

On this occasion, we would like to remind the justice ministry executives and judicial authorities that the case file related to His Eminence Imam Al-Rabbani's martyrdom has not made any significant progress towards identifying and exposing the perpetrators and implementing justice despite the passage of a whole year since the incident.  A full year is not short if there is seriousness and a real effort to resolve this case.

Finally, we call on the international community, human rights organisations and all free people in the world to contribute effectively to ending wars and stopping the violations that many people are exposed to. Especially the pain and calamity bestowed upon Palestinians, Lebanese, as well as Syrian people, as well as the events and security tensions currently unfolding in Syria.
