Statement by the General Secretariat of the Aldaae Party regarding the incident of an attack by members of the law enforcement forces on a minor demonstrator

The General Secretariat of a Aldaae Party condemns and denounces the disgraceful and unjust behavior that was issued by a group of members of the so-called law enforcement forces that were established under the resigned government of Adel Abdul Mahdi against a minor orphan boy no older than 17 years old in the capital, Baghdad.
What was stated in the video clip, which showed a misguided group of law enforcement forces physically and verbally assaulting a demonstrator who was no more than 17 years old and his family, is considered scandalous and disgraceful behavior and only reflects a moral and humanitarian failure on the part of this group and clearly indicates the absence of state authority and the law and the absence of deterrence. Humanity, ethics, and the culture of human rights among most members of the security services, which was established by the sectarian, quota, and loyalty-to-foreign governments that ruled the country successively from 2003 until Abdul Mahdi’s government. Therefore, such a situation has become neither strange nor alien to the security establishment, and does not represent a rare or individual case, but rather a common case. It is almost universal, as transgressing people's sanctities, humiliating them, and insulting their dignity has become a prevalent feature among many members of the security forces.
In view of the above, and to prevent the recurrence of such attacks, we urgently demand the following:

1- Submit the criminal group that appeared in the video clip, members of the so-called law enforcement forces, to an urgent military trial to receive their just punishment, provided that the trial procedures are followed up directly by the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Interior and Defense, the National Security Advisor, and security leaders at the highest levels, and its results are presented to opinion. The public should be punished in front of the people to serve as an example to others.

 2- Dissolving the so-called law enforcement forces, which were formed under incorrect circumstances during the time of the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, which was controlled by armed groups, which allowed the leaders of these groups to interfere in choosing most of the leaders and formations of these forces and dictate to them to do what is in the interest of those groups and implement their agendas that You do not want stability for our country or for its people to live in peace and security.

3- Forming a high-level security committee headed by the Prime Minister that will review the structure and leadership of the security services and work to activate the culture of human rights among the members of these agencies and adopt legal and constitutional methods in carrying out their work tasks, provided that local and international human rights organizations are involved in supervision and provision. Consultations and advice for the success of the work of this committee.

4- Providing appropriate compensation to the minor boy and his family as a result of the physical and psychological harm he was exposed to.
