The General Secretariat of the Daae Party welcomes the agreement reached between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the status of Sinjar district in Nineveh Governorate, because this agreement has a great humanitarian, sovereign and security dimension. This agreement is considered a first and important step in the right direction, as it paves the way for addressing the conditions of the local population, resolving outstanding problems, and bringing together the country, which has been torn apart by sectarian politics and foreign agendas. We call on the federal government and the regional government to deal with the agreement very seriously, taking into account the adoption by all parties of the option of joint talks and dialogue based on national constitutional foundations, and not to allow any external or internal pressures to influence the agreement because its success will be a starting point for strengthening the national identity of our people. It will also be recorded that the government has dealt with a critical internal situation that previous governments had turned a blind eye to for one reason or another.
