Statement of the General Secretariat of the Daae Party regarding the security campaign to control uncontrolled weapons in Baghdad and Basra

The General Secretariat of the Daae Party welcomed the large-scale security campaign launched today, Saturday, in the governorates of Baghdad and Basra, which aims to re-impose the prestige of the state and respect for the law by targeting uncontrolled weapons and those wanted by the judiciary.
In a statement, the General Secretariat called on the government to deal seriously and effectively with all parties that bear arms outside the framework of the state and the law, whether those parties are individuals and groups bearing clan titles or other armed groups.
The statement also stressed the need for the launch date of such operations to be surrounded by a kind of secrecy in order to achieve its set goals and not leave room for the intended armed groups to flee or take precautions in advance.
